About Me

Hi, I’m Emy!

I’m a 21-year-old Creative Writing student in my third year at the University of Winchester, but I hail from a small, sleepy seaside town called Eastbourne. If you’ve ever seen the film Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging, a lot of it was filmed there. Beachy Head, which is part of Eastbourne (and the number one suicide spot in the UK!) was also the background setting for the Quidditch World Cup in the film of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. However, we are mostly known as that place near Brighton where old people come to retire but forget to die. Yep.

Once I’ve finished my degree this year, I’m hoping to go on to do a phD. This means I’ll be a Doctor of Creative Writing, which sounds very important and clever but mostly will just make people look at me funny.

I’m engaged to the wonderful catcrunchies, who writes a blog called Piper’s Dream. We’re hoping to get married (well, civil serviced) in 2013, so watch this space. :)

I have two siblings, a 19-year-old brother and a 15-year-old sister, who drive me mad but I love them all the same. I also have a new half-sibling on the way, due in August, which I’m very excited about! Thanks for the shock of a lifetime, Mum!

In my spare time, I love to read, write (both serious and silly, smutty stories – no, you can’t read them!) and draw, though I’m having precious little time for the latter at the moment. I also love to play the Sims 3, which I think might be pretty obvious since this is a Sims 3 blog. ;)

I started playing sims when the first one was around, though I was never very good at it. I think I spent most of my time deleting doors and leaving my sims to starve to death. I never really got into or played the Sims 2 though, which I regret greatly.

My favourite expansion pack was Makin’ Magic, and I hope they make something similar for Sims 3, but I don’t hold my breath for it!

Anyway, enough of me rambling on. I hope you enjoy my little legacy! :)
